Mt. Nemrut is located in Southeastern Turkey. Here the Parthians and Romans decided to build a monument to the egotistical ruler Antiochus I Commagenes. The Monument is the most spectacular site in this region of Turkey with its giant stone heads of Antiochus and an assortment of Hellenistic and Babylonian deities. |
